SmashGal was started in early 2000 as a partnership between 2 very good friends who played league tennis. We wanted affordable and fashionable tennis wear and were frustrated by what was available. We decided to do something about it and created SmashGal as a result. We didn't want to be just another "me too" brand so we came up with a new approach. In order to keep our prices reasonable, we realized we had to sell directly to tennis players, not to retailers who would mark our clothes up.

We also wanted to provide a high level of customer service so we could meet the needs of SmashGals all across the U.S. We want to please every customer and that approach has been the key to our success.
